Round of 8
#7 Seed: The 2007/08 Xavier Musketeers tied for the programs deepest run in the NCAA tournament, making it all the way to the Elite 8.  They played with tremendous balance, with a full 6 players averaging around 10 points a game.  Xavier coach Sean Miller primarily relied on Josh Duncan and Derrick Brown, the latter making it into the NBA. The Musketeers had no gaping holes to speak of, and ran one of the very best offenses of the 2001/11 digital decade.  Xavier was lit up by UCLA, and Kevin Love in particular, in their elite 8 exit performance.  The Xavier 07/08 squad was as balanced a team as any of the recent past - a credit to the teaching style and system of Sean Miller, who now enjoys success as head coach of the Arizona Wildcats.
