Round of 16
Seed #16: The fact that this solid-if-unspectacular 2007/08 MSU team even made this stats based 'Dance of the Decade' bespeaks to Tom Izzo's coaching greatness. A younger version of the 09 runner-up squad, this MSU team didn't dominate, but played with heart, winning games by superior shot selection.   These overachieving Spartans were primariy led by sharpshooting guard Drew Neitzel, with a solid support cast which included future Big 10 POY Kalin Lucas. They were smash-exited from the dance in their Sweet 16 matchup by a Derrick Rose-led Memphis Tiger team with a BIG media-disrespect chip on it's shoulder.
