#4 Seed: It must have been an awfully tough road for the 2006/07 Florida Gators.  Every opponent had Billy Donovan's defending National Championship team firmly in their sites, with the Florida game circled on opponent fan and alumni base CBB calenders.  A series of late February SEC losses made the Gators look vulnerable, but didn't prevent the defending champs from being named a number 1 seed for the 2007 dance.  The Gators strong front line proved to be too dominant and resilient to keep this Florida team down for long, as Billy Donovan's team saved it's performance best for its last. Florida was challenged but never serious threatened in their successful defense of their repeat of the men's National Championship in March 2007. Guard Corey Brewer took home the tournaments Most Outstanding Player (MOP) award, and a financially rewarding first round draft selection a few months later.
